The battle filter comes to VozDigital calls

Posted on 12/01/2016 by Darío Alonso, Product Manager

It's not that we want to encourage our customers to have warlike conversations over the phone, but they have been crying out for it! So, after the troll, the gnome, the bird or terror, today we are launching the battle filter for customers with Android devices.

Since we introduced the filters on VozDigital calls last September, you have not stopped using them. In fact, Fridays and Saturdays are the top days to call using the filters and the calls last longer than traditional calls because they are much more fun: in Peru calls last 46% longer and in Spain they last up to 80% longer.

At the end of October, the terror filter was by far the most popular, accounting for 65% of all filters used on the day of greatest use, followed by the bird (22%) and the gnome (9%).

We will be back soon with more news. In the meantime, get calling! ;)

We facilitate and simplify the registration and access process in our app

Posted on 10/21/2016 by Vanessa Hoya, Product Manager

These last few days we have given a little love to our registration process via our app in iOS and Android devices. The result is a new flow of registration and an easier starting of sessions, and a little cooler too, I have to admit.

Now our users and clients can register and access their Tuenti account by using their social profiles from Twitter, Google and Facebook, besides your email, as usual. Anywhere, anytime. Just register with the latest version of our app ;)

New challenges in personal digital communications

Posted on 10/11/2016 by Sebas Muriel, Innovation in Personal Communications and CEO of Tuenti

Aiming towards greater innovation in personal communications, Telefonica has recently announced new organizational steps to show their firm commitment to becoming a full digital telco. This is why a new department called 'Innovation in Personal Communications' has been created and they have entrusted me to manage it. I will work with the entire team to define the strategy and push for the development of all advancements in digital communication and IP comms of the Telefónica Group in order to provide service not just to the second brand, Tuenti, but to its main brands as well (Movistar, Vivo and O2).

This new phase is the natural evolution of what we have been working on in recent years, and now have the opportunity and responsibility of extending and expanding that full digital telco experience, 100% digital, to new clients via a layer of innovation (OTT) and technological differentiation. In order to obtain this, I will support myself with the two teams that are in this new department, both the TU team and the Tuenti team, who already have the necessary technical expertise in developing valued added products and services for the million and a half end-users that use our digital products in the 8 countries in which we have been jointly operating up to now: Spain, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. This is just the beginning, and we have incredible possibilities to continue building a unique model of increasingly digital relations with our clients.

We continue to innovate, because it is in our DNA, doing things differently. And of course, we continue working with great enthusiasm on our Tuenti project, as the second brand in the Group, both in Spain and in Latin America, to offer a mobile telephone service targeted to youth in a unique digital experience via our app.

We’re bringing voice filters to VozDigital calls

Posted on 9/20/2016 by Darío Alonso, Product Manager

Yes, you read it right. From today, our customers can make calls with their VozDigital minutes using gnome and troll voice filters. With this new functionality, both voices on the call are filtered, so that both the caller and the receiver will have... a different tone ;)

The filters are now available to all our customers in Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and Spain in the Tuenti app for Android, and we are working to include more filters in future versions of the app. Why make normal calls when you can call using a troll’s voice?

We have fully integrated our VozDigital with iOS 10

Posted on 9/14/2016 by Darío Alonso, Product Manager

Fans of Apple have been waiting for this moment with almost as much impatience as us. Since Apple presented its new gadgets and features on September 7th we’ve been dying to announce this new version of the Tuenti application for iOS and today we’re celebrating the fact it’s already available in the App Store!

The new version includes important improvements to the call experience on the app, which will making calling with Tuenti much easier and more accessible. Check it out:

The integration of Tuenti with Apple’s operating system is complete, so from now on calls made via the app will appear as recorded in the particular cell phone’s history as Tuenti Audio and, to return them, the same channel can be used.

Now you can also make VozDigital calls and maintain the natural iOS experience: from the contact information button in your call history, simply click on the contact for 1 second and you will be given the ‘how to call’ option. If you have run out of minutes, you can call via the app, without using minutes.

You can also call contacts saved in your contact list as favorites directly from Tuenti’s VozDigital widget without having to open the app!

Furthermore, incoming calls that reach you via Tuenti can now be answered when your device is blocked, without having to enter your unlock code. If, during a traditional GSM call, you receive a call via VozDigital, you can reject or accept this call by putting the first on hold.

We can’t wait for our clients to update the operating system on their devices and the Tuenti application so they can make calls using the minutes of their rate more naturally and easily.
